Relentless - by John Bevere

This book was a good challenge to read and consider all the different aspects of my life  - all the resources I have as a child of God and whether or not I am using them to live a more purposeful and Christ centered life in all that I do.  The biggest challenge that stood out to me was the areas regarding resisting the devil.  I would agree that I am one of those people that strives to love and follow God, but I was just ignoring the enemy.  I was not considering that I would need to deal with the enemy in regard to some circumstances I may be in that would necessitate that in addition to seeking help/peace, etc. from God.
James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."  This verse means more to me in an active way now.

James 5:16 "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. "  I need to consider my time in prayer to be of greater importance and greater depth than I currently do.

Jeremiah 29:11-14 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile."  I need to pursue God with all of my heart, through my thoughts, actions, prayer, and how I use my time.  I need to become relentless!
